A company removal is more than a row of boxes. Workstations, cabinets, the
archive and the stock all have to go over in the right order, while your
customers notice as little of it as possible. That is our trade: Feitsma has
been moving businesses in Haarlem and the surrounding area since 1927, from
archives and libraries to schools and warehouses, and across the border too.
It starts with a free survey visit at your premises, a short visit of about
20 minutes. We walk through the building together, discuss which work is needed
and in what time frame we can do it for you. Within one working day there is a
fixed quote, so you know exactly where you stand beforehand.
We often plan the move itself at the weekend, so your team notices as little
as possible. Our movers take the office furniture apart, wrap everything in
moving blankets and put it back together at the new address; dismantling and
assembly are included in our price. And the lift truck? That stands right
against your building.
During the move you have one central point of contact: the
foreman who directs the team. On larger projects a project manager also prepares
the move together with you.
With a company removal you do not want loose ends. Below is what is fixed with
us, and what you run through with us beforehand. Then you know it before the van
pulls up, not afterwards.

Dismantling and assembly in the price: office furniture, and on a warehouse removal the racking and fittings as well.
One point of contact on moving day: the foreman leads the move and directs the team.
Erkende Verhuizer (the Dutch recognised-mover accreditation) and Kiwa ISO 9001: your contents are insured up to 100,000 euros with no excess, and interim storage for up to 12 months falls under the same cover.
The timing. We often move businesses at the weekend, so the work stops as little as possible; an evening is possible too. Evening and weekend work carries a surcharge, and that is simply stated in the quote beforehand.
Who packs. Do your staff pack their own workstation, or does our packing team do it? We deliver boxes, labels and packing paper to your premises well in advance.
Your IT. We move computers, monitors and servers packed and protected, out of the server room as well; we agree the disconnecting and reconnecting beforehand with your system administrator or IT provider.
Exceptional value. Is there something among your contents worth more than the 100,000 euro cover, such as a machine or a safe? Tell us beforehand and we put a separate arrangement about it in the quote. For art and valuable collections that limit within the cover is 20,000 euros.

Our own equipment
The lift truck stands right against your building.
If your company is on an upper floor, the contents do not have to go through the stairwell.
Our moving lift reaches the 8th floor and lifts 400 kilos, through a window or a balcony as well.
Desks, cabinets and archive boxes go up the outside, with our own vans that are all comprehensively
insured.

Over the years we have moved a good many archives and libraries: specialist and precise work. Everything goes over labelled and in order, with a numbering system, so every folder and every shelf can be found straight away at the new address.

We are glad to move your school too, and to do it well. Classrooms, teaching materials and the administration go over in order, and we lay the planning alongside the timetable, at a weekend for instance, so lessons can simply carry on.

A warehouse removal is a logistical challenge, and one we are happy to take on with you. We think it through with you beforehand, so your business process is disrupted as little as possible; dismantling and assembly of the warehouse racking and the rest of the fittings are on us.

Do the handover dates not line up, or is the new building still being refurbished? Your contents can go into our own warehouse on the Waarderpolder. For up to 12 months that storage falls under the same cover as the move; you say so straight away in the quote form.

That depends on the size of your contents, the floors and the access at both buildings, the packing and any storage. That is why we do not work with a price list but with a fixed quote: our adviser calls round free of charge and within one working day you have a price that is set.
What the market charges: according to comparison sites such as Sirelo a complete company removal often costs 5,000 to 10,000 euros, and the price per office workstation is around 450 to 600 euros. Can we carry on working during the move?
We set the whole planning up for that. We often move businesses at the weekend, so the work simply carries on during the week; an evening is possible too. Evening and weekend work carries a surcharge, which is simply stated in the fixed quote beforehand.

Who packs everything, and who assembles the furniture?
That is up to you. Your staff pack their own workstation with boxes and labels that we deliver well in advance, or our packing team takes it over completely.
Dismantling and assembly of office furniture is included in our price, and on a warehouse removal the racking as well. Would you rather do part of it yourself? Then you hire stretch wrap, bubble wrap and moving trolleys from us. If a cabinet will not go down the stairwell, our moving lift with an operator takes it out through the window.
What happens to our computers and IT?
We move computers, monitors and servers packed and protected, out of the server room as well. We agree the disconnecting and reconnecting beforehand with your system administrator or IT provider, so everyone handles their own part.
A handy tip: photograph the cables at each workstation before they come loose, then plugging everything in at the new address is done in no time.
Are our contents insured during the company removal?
Yes. We move as an Erkende Verhuizer with cover up to 100,000 euros at replacement value, with no excess, across the whole job; that applies to business work as well. If something goes into storage temporarily, that falls under the same cover for up to 12 months.

Can our contents go into storage temporarily?
Yes. If the dates for the two buildings do not line up, we store your contents in our own warehouse on the Izaäk Enschedéweg in Haarlem: heated, climate controlled and secured with an alarm and cameras. For up to 12 months that falls under the same cover as the move.
